When I first saw her the pic was not the best but she caught my eye in her moody expression. The painting itself is a simple sketch, but moving. Notice how she fades into the background creating and supporting her. The tones are subdued and lines are blurred which give the small painting life not just in this world but into the spiritual. It’s a master work of simplicity and beauty……
